If you read romance – Nora Roberts needs no introduction.
Nora Roberts is one of the most prolific writers in the Romance category. I started reading her decades ago.  I stop for a while, then see a new one and dive back in, remembering why I love her all over again. Decades ago, that’s how long she has been writing. Way back when; I actually took a class of her’s on writing romance novels!  Fast forward to more recent times – I met her at the Romance Writers of America National Convention when it was in Washington D.C. (wow!  That was amazing!   More on it later.) To review her books would take days – so I chose one of her trilogies to talk about.  The  In The Garden trilogy consists of
The three books take place in Tennesse, where the heroines live in a haunted house and work at the nursery owned by Roz.
Blue Dahlia is Stella’s and landscaper Logan’s story.
Stella manages the nursery, In the Garden. She is starting a new life along with her two young sons. Along the way, we met Roz, Haley and the ghost.
Black Rose is Roz’s and genealogist Mitchell’s story.
I have to say this was my favorite.  Having passed my 20’s decades ago, I really enjoy reading about love in the later years.  Roz is 47 and pretty much done with men. One of the things I most enjoy about Nora’s books is the dialogue between two characters.  She infuses humor in her books which adds realism to her stories.  And laughs!
The last book, Red Lily is Hayley’s and Harper’s story.
Harley is Roz’s younger distant cousin and expecting.  She has come to Memphis to forge a new life for her and her unborn child. Harper is her best friend. Throughout the books, we get to see and learn about the nursery business. We also learn about different aspects of cultivating new varieties of plants and grafting as this is Harper’s area of expertise. Romance and gardening, two of my favorite things!  Oh, and there is wine drinking too! Win all around. Several of Nora’s books contain gardening aspects, which just makes them that much better for me! And hopefully for you also. Have you read Nora?  If so, what are some of your favorites?
